How to fulfil the customized demand of duplex stainless steel

We're manufacturer of casting and CNC machined special parts, nearly for all industries that will use metal components.
Normally supplied materials are stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, etc.
But sometimes we also got inquiries from customers of special material, for example duplex stainless steel.



In June 2019, we got a request - material is CD4MCu-N cast stainless steel, which belongs to ASTM 995.

CD-4MCu is characterized by low carbon duplex stainless steel, high hardness, good casting performance, good mechanical
and machinability, and good welding performance. It not only has good corrosion resistance, but also has good wear resistance.
It has stress corrosion resistance in medium containing chloride ion.

We carefully checked the drawing and found the part is not difficult for us, and after checking the mold cost, we calculated
the unit price in investment casting - lost wax casting process, and quoted to customer immediately.

As our price was really well controlled, customer found it acceptable and then samples were asked... and till the mass producion
everything was fine.
